The most famous beach in Natal, Ponta Negra is located in the neighborhood of the same name. With about 4 km long, the beach is in the far south of the main cards of Natal, the Bald Hill. Both on the beachfront and in the main streets and avenues of the Ponta Negra neighborhood, you'll find great bars and restaurants, nightclubs, shopping, craft centers, coffee and much more for your relaxation and enjoyment.
With about 10 km long, this is a beach of great beauty and tranquility. With a good stretch of golden sand, has slightly rough sea, with good waves, especially when windy. It is a good choice for a relaxing day or a good walk. The Coastal Highway, which runs the beach, is an expressway that connects the beaches of Ponta Negra and Artists.
Located in the neighborhood of the same name, Areia Preta is also known as "Miami Beach", as the Americans settled there a military base at the time of World War II. It is also this beach that you can see the Mae Luiza Lighthouse high in the dunes of the Parque das Dunas. Its sand is dark and the scenery is composed of rocks.
